DORMAA EAST: DCE CONFIRMED WITH 100% YES VOTES
Assembly Members of Dormaa East District on Wednesday September 29, 2021, confirmed the DCE nominee of the area Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Agyeman with a 100 % votes.
Out of the overall total of 30 Assembly Members made of both appointees and elected members, all 29 present and voting, cast yes votes in favour of the nominee who is among the three retained for a second term by the President of the Republic in the Bono Region.
Hon. Emmanuel Agyeman who is the immediate past District Chief Executive of Dormaa East , is considered by many as hardworking and determined, has won himself several names and some awards depicting his capabilities. In a brie
f speech, the DCE, who was over elated and dumbfounded over the overwhelming endorsement, thanked God for His goodness and also expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the confidence reposed in him. He was as well grateful to Nananom, the Assembly Members and workers as well as Party Members for their collaboration and support.
He noted the President, is poised in creating over one million jobs for the youth aside other important initiatives and with his help and that of the people of the District, he the DCE is hopeful of doing everything humanly possible for the success and development of the District far beyond initial achievements.
Hon. Agyeman promised that his electoral area tours would now be dedicated to supporting community members mend and work on some of their problems or projects locally to facilitate solving of bordering issues.
He ceased the opportunity to commend and thank the Omanhene of Dormaa Traditional Area, Osagyefo Oseadeayo Agyeman Badu II for his clean-up and free distribution of dustbins exercise ongoing across the traditional area and called on people of Dormaa East to emulate and continue in the exercise to ensure a well-developed, orderly and neat district.
Present at the Wanfie Top Church to commemorate the event was Nananom, former DCEs and the current MP among others.
Both Dormaa Akwamuhene and Mansenhene who took turns in brief speeches, commended the Assembly Members for their comportment and solemn manner of voting.
Dormaa Akwamuhene, Barima Oppong Kyeremeh Sikafuo, appealed to government to create some form of revenue generating venture to support traditional authorities in their endeavors.
Mansenhene, who is also the Krontihene of Dormaa Traditional area, Barima Ansu Adjei, ceased the opportunity to remind government of the need to turn rapt attention to the development and expansion of the Dormaa East District hospital to better place it to provide quality healthcare services to the people.
