Beneficiaries: District Assembly Common Fund for Persons With Disabilities(PWD)

The district Assembly Common Fund for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) is a fund geared to support Person with Disabilities s to equip them in economic and business ventures, provide them with working tools such as fridges, sewing machines, shoe making kids, hair driers etc to empower them to become economically viable.

The fund also seeks to provide educational/ training support for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) as well as giving them medical /health support to make them functional in life.

The under listed persons are beneficiaries from the fund accumulated and released for fourth (4th) quarter 2016, first (1st), second (2nd) and third (3rd) quarter, 2017 which was received in February, 2018 in the sum of One Hundred and Fourteen Thousand One Hundred and Sixty-One Ghana Cedis (GHS 114,161.00) in addition to Forty Thousand Two Hundred And Twenty Six (GHS 40,226.00) for 4th quarter 2017 which was release in the 2nd quarter of 2018.
Making a total figure of GHS (154,387.00)

Per the directives from the Common Fund Administrator, the DFMC allocated 10% for education/training, 10% for medicals and assistive devices, 75% was allocated for economic and business ventures, whiles 5% reserves for administrative cost.

The procedures to follow before accessing the funds are:

  1. Β Assessment of their needs
  2. Verifying their particulars
  3. Vetting& approval of applications
