Plant a tree. Help green Dormaa East, help green Ghana, help green Africa

The District Chief Executive of Dormaa East, Emmanuel Kofi Agyeman has launched an afforestation campaign sloganed:

Greening Dormaa East

The idea is to encourage everyone to plant trees to make Dormaa East green again.

Hon Agyeman encouraged everyone to plant at least a tree, and continually care for it until the trees grow collectively as a whole. He planned to plant 100 trees in 100 days.

I am planting 100 trees in 100 days. I planted one today. What about you?
Long live dormaa east, long live Ghana, long live Africa“, He said

The tree planting will helpΒ in addressing the environmental issues of the district and of the world, esp. in preventing further global warming and reversing the effects of global warming. It also helps in avoiding desertification.

First tree planted: Day 1

He was supported by Farouk (Popularly called Alaa) and other members of the community.

Day 2: Three trees were planted on day 2. It was at the residency. Charity begins at home.

…Β  Day 2 of our 100 days of tree planting as part of the effort of greening dormaa east is done. With the help of Mr. Amoah and Mr Twum, we planted three trees at the residency today. Our environment is our future. Let’s help secure it by greening.- He said

The good idea of Greening Dormaa East is already catching up with the communities. With the support ofΒ  The Church of Pentecost Assemblies in Wamanafo and Kyeremasu,105 trees were planted on Day 3.

 

Day 4 saw another great contribution from the people of Dormaa Akwamu. With their support, 200 tree were planted.
