Dormaa East MP supports women in Soap Productionsย 

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Dormaa East Constituency, Hon. Paul Apreku Twum-Barimah, as part of efforts to empower women in entrepreneurship, has donated a cash amount of twenty thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc20,000) to the Royal Beauty Queens, a group of Women in Soap production based in the Constituency at Ampenkro.

The donation which was made during the Dormaa East District’s 2nd General Assembly Meeting at the Assembly’s Conference Hall, held on 21st July 2023, had the purpose to deliberate on the developmental agenda of the district.

According to Hon. Twum Barimah, “the objective of this cash donation is to empower women and Young Entrepreneurs in the Constituency, catalysing economic growth, driving poverty eradication and ensuring job creation”.

Hon. Janet Asamoah, a member and assemblywoman for Ampenkro, Amenfi who received the donation on behalf of the Women’s group expressed gratitude to the MP and commended him for making women empowerment and entrepreneurship a major priority, adding that the donation was timely and would help to expand training to additional women and also enable them to furnish their production center for a full scale commercial productions of their Soap making venture.

Hon. Paul Apreku Twum-Barimah (MP) was joined by Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Agyeman, Dormaa East DCE who made the donation to the women’s group.
