Dormaa East District host seminar on persons with intellectual disabilities

Inclusion Ghana, an NGO representing the voices of all persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their parents/caregivers in Ghana, in collaboration with Dormaa East District Assembly’s Social welfare and Community Development Departments have held stakeholders seminar at the Assembly’s conference Hall, Wamfie.
The purpose of the seminar was to create a sustainable and secure workforce supply for people that have Intellectual Disabilities and/ or Autism, who require support from and/or access to services and their wellbeing, and further re-orient stakeholders involved in the provision of social services delivery.
The programs manager, Mr. Joseph Allotey further briefed the stakeholders on projects and shared results and lessons, challenges and Set the pace for take over on results that has been achieved in their 3 years operations at the Dormaa East District.
The meeting was attended by stakeholders including, Nananom from the traditional council, district social welfare department, Ghana Health Service, Ghana Education service, NCCE, CHRAJ among others.
