DORMAA EAST HOST PUBLIC HEARING ON DISTRICT MEDIUM TERM DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2022- 2025

The Dormaa East District Assembly held a public hearing on the 2022- 2025 District Medium Term Development Plan (DMTDP) to develop strategies and plan of action to continue the development agenda of the district.

The District Chief Executive, Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Agyeman, welcomed all the stakeholders to the forum and appealed to them to contribute effectively for a fruitful deliberation.

The forum also sought to afford participants the opportunity to make constructive inputs into the development planning processes which forms a key foundation and an integral part of every development process.

In a brief presentation on the DMTDP, theΒ Development Planning Officer, Mrs. Anthonia Ayamga said the Assembly would spare no effort to bridge the development gap in the district. She added that priority would be given to all uncompleted projects before adding new projects.

According to her, ongoing projects under execution by the Assembly included the construction of Dormaa Akwamu Police Station, Four (4) Unit Classroom block at Wamfie Presby School, Wamanafo Lorry station and Asuotiano Chips compound and are cited under Β economic development, education, health and security part of the plan.

She further stated that, from 2022-2025, the assembly would concentrate on Development of Town Houses/ Model Affordable Houses in all the area councils, Develop an operation center for tailors/dressmakers , Develop a Youth in Agric Village in all area councils , Development of market stores at Kyeremasu & Wamfie Lorry station through (PPP) and other stated projects.

The Chairman for the occasion, Mansen Gyaasehene, Nana Diamono Asamoah Kokote Kumi showed his excitement about the rapid developmental growth in the district and urged the assembly and all development partners to approach the rightful authorities for the acquisition of land for development purposes.

The event held at Wamfie, the district capital was well attended by the relevant stakeholders in the development of the district.

In a closing remark, Mrs. Anthonia Ayamga urged all stakeholders to play their part to help achieve the intended goals for the District.
